Post-Gen Con Accounting (You Owe Me More Money)

I did the math and you guys each owe me a bit more money. The extra expenses were:

Parking at the hotel was $38 per night for a total of $190. 
Gas for the trip down was $41. 
Gas for the trip back was $38.

That means:

Dave - Paid $314.44 up front  and still owes me $57.75 (parking + gas down)
David - Paid $350.00 up front and still owes me $21.94 (parking + gas down)
Bruce -  Paid $350.00 up front and still owes me $93.93 (parking + gas down and back + hardcover PF2 book)

I will see Bruce tonight. Can the rest remember to bring money (or check) next week?

Weather Forecast

The weather forecast for Thursday - Sunday is in the 80's during the day with a low chance of rain and 60%-70% humidity. We might see some rain on Wednesday but it is supposed to be in the morning before we get there.

Possible Room Upgrade

I clicked the button for a chance at an upgraded suite with the conference room table and the extra bathroom. If we get it, it will be an extra $75 per person for our stay. We will not know if we get it until we check in. I did it within 5 minutes of getting the e-mail. I do not know the criteria for being picked so who knows.

Gen Con car adventure

Hi guys,

I have a short adventure for the ride down to GC2018.

So please work on a character before we head out.

It is not PFS, but make up your guy as if it were. Remembering there will only be 3 of you. You may want to chat among yourselves so you don't end up with 3 Grippli sorcerers, and no beef. Start as a 1st level guy with up to 150gp in gear.

It's just a short adventure that does not take place on Golarion.  You start in an oppressed kingdom ruled by a nasty wraith Queen.

What is our expected get on the road time?

So what time do we want to get on the road on Wednesday? Looks like it is about a 5 hour drive plus stops. Rush hours and construction are also factors.

I expect I will pick up Bruce and some of my HEX stuff first. Then drive to Dave's and after that David's places? 7:00 ish for Bruce? 8:00 ish for Dave and on the road by 9:00 from David's? That should put us at the hotel around 3:00.

I will have my soft sided rooftop carrier and the back cargo space. I an packing in a duffel bag so that it can go on top. My HEX stuff will take up a significant portion of the cargo but stuff can be stacked on top of it. Is anyone else bringing something bulky that cannot go on top of the car? How big is David's cot?

Lastly, are we planning an in car game for the drive down? If so, we need to know what so that we can be prepared. (As the driver, I can usually play but I do not think I should run.)

Event Schedule for 2018

Note that there are only 2 PFS specials; on Thursday and Friday.  Paizo saved Saturday for the Starfucker special.

The Saturday 2pm event was sold out.  I've updated what me and Bruce are playing Saturday afternoon.

Hotel Secured (You Owe Me Money)

OK. I now have the Hotel info.

We are once again staying at the HILTON INDIANAPOLIS (120 West Market Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204). The pictures of the room look the same as the one we had last year.

Originally the reservation was for 6 nights (Tuesday - Monday) with a total of $1509.30. I adjusted the reservation, changing it to 5 nights (Wednesday - Monday). The new total came out to $1257.75. Since there are only four of us going that will be $314.44 EACH.

I modified the registration to put my name, contact info and credit card on it. As far as I know, we are all set.

Hotel Update

I heard back from Jeff. Here is what he had to say:

The good news is that I requested a room for you and your buddies in the exhibitor block, but it had to be in the same hotel as the other Studio 2 rooms. They're not letting us split rooms like before, but that means I've requested a room in the Embassy Suites or Hilton Downtown Suites (120 Market St.). I haven't gotten confirmation on that yet, but I'm fairly optimistic, since Studio 2 has been getting rooms in the Hilton without a problem for several years.

I am confident that we will get a room. I asked for two queens and a pull out couch.

We have stayed at the Embassy Suites before. The elevators were really the only issues. The hotel has just been remodeled as seen by last year's construction so it may be greatly improved. The Hilton is where we stayed last year. I thought it was a nice hotel and it was close to the convention center. Neither is terrible but they are not quite as spacious as the Staybridge.

Are we good with going this route or do folks want to take other action? Who is planning on going this year? Are we still looking at Bruce, Dave, Steve, David and myself?
